Battle Creek CVB Partners with Premier Sports Events (PSE) for Sports Event Housing Management.
Battle Creek, MI - September 12, 2006 - The Battle Creek Convention & Visitors Bureau today announced their partnership with Premier Sports Events (PSE), a provider of housing management services for larger-scale amateur sports events and tournaments, and will begin offering their services as an connected component their convention services to all event planners coming to the area.
"We are extremely excited about the partnership with Premier Sports Events and the quality of service that they will bring to our organization," said Dwight Butt, President of the Battle Creek/Calhoun County Convention and Visitors Bureau. "PSE will provide us with the ability to offer a high level of service to our clients while focusing more effort on soliciting new business to our county."
The counties hotels can expect a better line of communication regarding new business opportunities and room block pick-up during events as well as a more structured reservation process for larger-scale events and group bookings. PSE will manage the entire housing process for events they work with, offering real-time, internet-based housing which allows the attendees to book, change and cancel reservations online. They are also equipped to handle call-in and faxed reservations all which will reduce the administrative workload for the hotels and the CVB's staff.
"It's a natural partnership and a win/win situation for the CVB, the planners, hotels and attendees it just makes sense," explained Jeff Lukasak, President of Premier Sports Events. "One of the main goals of this relationship is to significantly reduce the housing management workload for the Bureau and offer a more capable and efficient housing process for planners, attendees and hotels. We will be readily available when needed to work directly with planners and hoteliers to find housing solutions that mirror the events needs."
Greg Deau, Convention Sales & Services Manager of the Battle Creek CVB added, "This alliance will allow us to focus more of our time and resources on soliciting and securing new business for the county's hotels, venues and area businesses (i.e. sports tournaments, meetings & conventions, consumer tradeshows and cultural events) while still maintaining a high level of service and efficiency in communicating the housing needs of event planners to our hotel partners."
